The facts are that there are not widespread issues w/ the new 500. They have issues same as any production vehicle.
The 350's had a lot of motor issues, and many buyers and sellers saw a motor replacement w/ a Gen 2 as a positive.
The secondary timing chain tensioner would be a big deal if you're affected and Ford wasn't willing to fix it.
And the 13/14's had no issues if I were to search? And again these cars have warranty to cover these minor issues.
The paint sucks on most new mass produced vehicles, and the other issues are covered by warranty, so yes non issues. Those are also 3 individuals...
He doesn't own the vehicle yet so I'd say no.

I did my first oil change @1k, and then every 3500 miles. I daily my 500 so you can get away w/ less frequent intervals depending on how you drive it.

The Tremec in the 350 is really good. Having had a 350R and now the new 500, I'd take the 500 over the 350.
It was between Race Red and Rapid Red when I ordered, ended up going Rapid and am very happy w/ my choice.
I personally use the paddles quite a bit as it satisfy the manual itch, but the DCT in auto mode is very impressive doing its own thing.
